Every funding decision we make is weighed against our four Areas of Impact. We believe these values are the key to affecting positive change for young children and families for generations to come.
Advance racial equity
- Reach and engage more racially and ethnically diverse advocates and potential voters
- More and better policies that specifically impact racially and ethnically diverse young children and families are passed
- Funding specifically for racially and ethnically diverse young children and families is protected and/or added
Increased pro-young child and family political advocates, voters, candidates, and winning candidates
- More advocates and potential voters are reached and support pro-child and family policies
- Candidates/legislators are on-the-record supporting/prioritizing pro-child and family policies and funding
- Pro-child and family governors and legislators are elected
Increased pro-child and family legislation and funding
- More and better pro-child and family policies are passed
- State funding for young children and families is protected and/or added
Increased capacity for political advocacy for young children and families
- More 501(c)(4) organizations are created to support young children and families
- More 501(c)(4) organizations are expanded (e.g. funding, staffing, volunteers, scope of actions) to support young children and families
